Evening Menu

Our a la carte evening menu is available on Fridays and Saturdays when we are open for Dinner from 5pm (last orders for food taken at 8.00pm)

STARTERS

  • Pea and mint soup served with crusty bread
  • Cream of carrot & coconut soup topped with a coriander pesto
  • Whitford’s paprika spiced whitebait with roasted garlic mayo
  • Scotch egg with pickled red cabbage, asparagus and curry mayo
  • Beetroot, walnut & goat’s cheese salad dressed with balsamic syrup
  • Chicken liver & pulled pork pate with an apple & sultana chutney
  • Garlic prawns with cayenne served with crispy flatbread and spring onions
  • Creamy garlic mushrooms served on toasted bruschetta
  • Antipasti platter served with crusty bread & chutney

MAIN COURSES

  • Braised beef “bourguignon style” served with parsley mashed potato + baby carrots
  • Wild mushroom tagliatelle topped with wild rocket & truffle oil
  • Sun-dried tomato, mozzarella & bacon stuffed chicken with saute potatoes & a spinach cream sauce
  • Herb-crusted fillet of salmon on crushed new potatoes served with a prawn cream sauce
  • Whitford’s homemade fish pie with warm tartare sauce and spring vegetables
  • Braised pork fillet, pomme puree, poached plums, asparagus & a Dijon cream sauce
  • Baked cod loin served with sauteed peas and smoky bacon, herby potatoes with a vanilla & coriander sauce
  • Corn-fed chicken breast served on a bed of red wine braised beluga lentils, celeriac puree and paprika crisps
  • Aromatic garden burger in a toasted brioche bun with aioli, dressed market salad and sweet potato fries

  • A selection of home-made desserts, gateaux, cakes, roulades & cheesecakes from our cold counter
  • Mary’s Farmhouse ice-creams or sorbets
  • A selection of Carmarthenshire cheese and biscuits
